Two Men Face Charges In Connection With Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges following a luggage theft where a believed to be capsaicin spray led to people being hurt at the UK's busiest airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and two counts of administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases taken after exiting a car park lift, according to law enforcement.
A toddler was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – which authorities stated was a standalone event and not considered a terror-related act – led to train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
