Trump's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Prior to Professional Golf Debut
The rising star maintains substantial social media following
Kai Trump will have numerous high-profile cheerleaders when she starts her professional golf debut later this week.
This teenage golfer, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, received a special exemption to compete at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and often matches against Kai.
"He's quite skilled. I can't say much but we play some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa basically told me to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with world affairs, so he's rather occupied."
Being non-professional, Kai has competed in a mere three competitions this year and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.
But she's able to get advice from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He represents the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.
"And he's an even better human being. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple the biggest names in women's golf at this tournament, such as world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai exposes golf to wider groups, especially among youth audiences.
Kai has substantial online presence and just introduced an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.
The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
